Leeds to Liverpool Canal at Shipley

Half Milestone!
Roads and Artifacts - did I not mention canals! Well had to go to Kanban in Shipley for card and crafting materials with the wife. I hadn't investigated earlier, but I couldn't resist taking the camera. So here are the canal milestones as well as the half milestone. Never seen a half milestone before!

Liverpool 115 miles
11 miles to Leeds
12 Miles to Leeds
116 miles to Liverpool
I walked a couple of miles towards Leeds! I have also photographed some of the interesting parts of the canal including a bridge over the canal for trains and also a pedestrian bridge. But these are in the Datastore associated with this page. You may notice that the canal milestone that says LPool 115 miles is one of the milestones on the homepage of the Milestone Society. The pictures on the left are the same mile post situated on Dockfield road rightoutside the factory. The panaramio reference is here. I have also photographed a canal milepost in Adlington. This is also on the same canal. There is lots more information on this website. Superb if you are going to do a cycle or run down the canal.
On my second visit I headed the opposite way down the canal, found these mileposts too. None labelled but now part of the Greenway
